Office Procedures
We handle minor surgical conditions as outpatient procedures in the office: removing lumps and skin cancers, draining abscesses, and treating wounds.
Colonoscopy Endoscopy
We perform colonoscopy endoscopies to screen for polyps and tumors and to treat rectal bleeding and anemia.
General Surgery
We perform surgeries for hernias, gall bladder, diverticulitis, hemorrhoids and other anal issues, and thyroidectomies to remove nodules and cancer.
Nkemakoman Ikekpeazu, MD, FACS
GENERAL SURGERY
Dr. Nkemakoman Ikepeazu is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He received his medical education at the University of Calabar College of Medical Sciences in Nigeria. He came to the U.S. in 1992 and did his residency in General Surgery at the Yale University School of Medicine, Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven, where he received numerous awards, including Resident of the Year. He is known to patients and associates as “Dr. Ike.”

A U.S. citizen, Dr. Ike has been a general surgeon in private practice in Connecticut since 1999. He performs a wide range of procedures, including: colonoscopy and upper endoscopy; laparoscopic and open hernia surgery; open colorectal and anorectal surgery; open cholecystectomy; common bile duct exploration and thyroid surgery.
Dr. Ike performs a wide range of office procedures including removal of cysts, lipomas and skin cancer, drainage of skin abscesses, perirectal, pilonidal and hidradenitis related abscesses, treatment of lacerations and wound care.
